How to become a seller?

Step 1: Register on Maribali.

To proceed, register as a seller by clicking here. Please note the minimum requirements to become a seller in Maribali:

  • We require our sellers to use Baiduri Payment Gateway Services (BPGS) to facilitate card transactions in the platform. 
  • In order to use Baiduri Payment Gateway Services, sellers need to possess a valid and active Baiduri Business bank account.
  • Personal bank account or bank account with other financial institutions is not accepted.

Step 2: Review Application

After you submit your registration, our team will review your registration and update you on the status via email within 24 hours.

  • Your application status is subject to our terms and conditions and whether you meet the minimum requirements to become a seller in Maribali. 
  • If you meet the minimum requirements, we will notify you and get your confirmation to proceed with step 3: sign up for Baiduri Payment Gateway Services.


Step 3: Sign up for Baiduri Payment Gateway Services

Upon your confirmation, we will refer your registration details to Baiduri Bank. A Baiduri Bank personnel will contact you to follow up on the next steps required to sign up for the payment gateway. 

  • Please note that our referral is required as walk-in at Baiduri Bank branch is not currently available.
  • After you sign up for the payment gateway, your company may be subject to another review by Baiduri Bank. 


Step 5: Set Up Your Store

After a payment method is activated in your store, you may begin listing your products/services, configuring your shipping method(s) and editing your store profile to prepare for the next step, store publishing.

  • A step-by-step documentation is provided to you to help you with the store set-up.
  • Please note we will only publish your store if you complete this step.


Step 4: Integrate Your Payment Gateway

After you have officially complete the set-up of your Payment Gateway, you're ready to activate your payment method in Maribali. 

  • Please inform the Maribali team for assistance with the payment gateway integration. If you do not complete this step, your store will not be published in Maribali as it has no payment method available.


Step 6: Publishing Your Store

After you have completed step 5, inform Maribali at support@maribali.com.bn to publish your store to LIVE.

  • Maribali will publish your store to LIVE if you complete your store set up in step 5.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining your store on Maribali, from the store set up to order fulfilment.

To register as a seller on Maribali, visit our website and look the 'Become A Seller' page located at the header or at the side bar. Follow the prompts to provide the required information, such as your business details, contact information, and product offerings.

To become a seller on Maribali, you will need to meet certain requirements, such as having a valid business registration or license, possess a valid and active Baiduri Bank business account, providing accurate and up-to-date information about your products or services, and complying with any relevant regulations or policies.

Maribali offers free registration for sellers. There is no immediate cost in setting up shop. Under the Bronze package, vendors get up to 50 product uploads for free. However, there may be additional fees or charges associated with certain features or services, such as premium listing options or advertising opportunities. As for Payment Gateway Services, the cost and fees will subject to Baiduri Bank's terms and conditions.

Once you have submitted your registration information, it will be reviewed by our team. Our team will follow up with you for confirmation to refer you to Baiduri Bank in order to set up your Payment Gateway. The payment gateway setup process is managed independently by Baiduri Bank, and Maribali is not involved in this process. The time required for approval may vary based on the bank’s procedures. Once your payment gateway is ready, you can then start setting up your seller account and listing your products or services.

Yes, Maribali supports the sale of both physical and digital products. You can list a wide range of products or services, including physical goods, digital downloads, subscriptions, or even services like online courses or consultations.

Pricing, Fees and Payments

Yes, as a vendor on Maribali, you have control over setting the prices for your products or services. You can determine the pricing based on factors such as production costs, market demand, and competitive analysis. It's important to consider your target audience and pricing strategies that align with your business goals.

Maribali currently does not charge any fees for sellers who are interested in using the platform. However, for card transactions, we use Baiduri Payment Gateway Services (BPGS), which charges a rate of 1 - 5%, depending on the agreement between Baiduri Bank and the merchant. There may also be other associated costs of using the BPGS, such as subscription fees, but this is subject to the bank's terms and conditions.

Maribali operates on a direct payment system. When a customer purchases your product or service, the payment is processed securely through the Baiduri Payment Gateway Service (BPGS). The funds are then directly transferred from the customer's bank account to your designated account.

The payment method in Maribali is powered by Baiduri Payment Gateway Services (BPGS), a payment processing system under Baiduri Bank. Baiduri Payment Gateway Services (BPGS) allows online shoppers to pay for their purchases on eCommerce sites using Visa, Mastercard, Union Pay, and American Express cards.
